THE ARTIST FAIT UNE ENTREE FRACASSANTE EN ANGLETERRE!

Hooray for Hollywood! The Artist comes to Curzon Cinemas

The Artist
The Artist

Nominated for six Golden Globes, winner of two New York Film Critics Circles awards and Best Actor at Cannes Film Festival!

The Artist, Michel Hazanavicius’ celebration of early Hollywood, tells the story of silent movie star George Valentin (Jean Dujardin, OSS 117) whose career is in crisis thanks to the introduction of sound. However, when he encounters Peppy Miller (Bérénice Bejo) he sees in the young starlet hope for the future. Like Singin' in the Rain, The Artist hilariously recreates Hollywood’s golden age. The result is a breathtaking love letter to the halcyon days of Tinseltown.

The Artist opens Friday 6 January at

Also coming to Renoir and Richmond:

Curzon Screen Salon: The Artist and Hollywood’s love affair with itself

There’s no business like show business and Hollywood loves nothing more than to put itself up on the big screen. From Singin' in the Rain and Sunset Boulevard to The Purple Rose of Cairo, this Screen Salon celebrates the release of Michel Hazanavicius’ joyous evocation of 1920s Hollywood with a look back at that golden age.
